Gush Katif was an area in the Gaza Strip where Israel built several settlements. There was an agreement where Israel agreed to disband and destroy. One might conclude that many Jews around the world had a problem with that decision.

These two protests really cemented the passion I had for recording such events. Back then, I felt safe. Now? Not so much. I’m really not shooting much since I started this project of making my work available to whoever wants to use it.

There’s a ton of Bokeh in many of these. Some may find that distracting, I rather like it. It was probably soon after my way-too-short ownership of Nikon’s AF DC-Nikkor 135mm f/2D (the DC stands for Defocus Control). You can accentuate the defocus in front of or behind the point of focus. I hope to own it again, but it’s highly unlikely.
