I went through a phase, a personal challenge to leave my Nikon Gear aside for the most part, and walkabout with a Panasonic J10—a cheap small point-n-shoot with just 7mp for a sensor. The theory in my mind was, that it doesn’t require a backpack full of gear to be artistic.

It worked out well, artistic results aside. It gave me the freedom to always have a camera (just a little larger than a credit card) on my person at all times. Of course, we all do really, we have our smartphones. I have a Galaxy a50 which takes incredibly crappy photos—22 megapixels of pure crap.

In the end, nothing adequately handles my “needs” than a decent SLR with adequate lenses. Wish I could afford GREAT lenses, but we make due within our means.

Above link opens a max quality jpeg in a new tab.  Just right click and save!

The above link will start a download of a zip file containing a full size/full quality JPEG and the Camera Raw File (.NEF for all except Infrared)

The RAW image, in this case, is a jpeg, Shot with a point and shoot—the RAWs Extension is .JPEG, the worked image: .jpg – both extensions work great for all jpegs.  It allows both JPEGs, to exist in the same folder.
