The many times I packed my gear and made the 8-block walk to Ocean Drive to capture the frivolity of this troupe, this is the one time there was a person who was deeply affected by their urgings.
The interesting thing is, for all their efforts to convince the passers-by that they were most certainly going to hell, they pretty much ignored this poor sole for hours.
I came to know these guys and gals fairly well. I knew full well they were sincere in their faith. At least on this day, it was more about the show than the results, just as it is in many churches these days.
