I spent a lot of time around this troupe for a couple of years, then they departed for other destinations. We had a "comfortable" relationship with some very tight boundaries. My policy when out shooting these human condition stories, I do my best to be impartial and pretty much silent. Sure I answer a lot of questions, it was very rare. Less so with these folks, because I was with them a lot.
This shoot was no different in that aspect, but different in how I approached it. With tempers flying, I always had to think about my own safety (though at the end I was never confronted around the Street Preachers).
