This protest was fairly early in my seeming obsession with dissent. I got into it after I hooked up with some local photographers that were already into it, so I gave it a go, and LOVED it.
Several protests I attended were an amalgam of groups with their issues but shared outrage for one or another cause. This particular gathering was more diverse than most. The protesters, the press, and observers such as myself.
It's interesting that the powers that be set up a "First Amendment Zone", fenced in and encircled by Police from several different departments.
