This 360° panorama is available as a flat equirectangular (the top image on this page), which is the most common way to present spherical panoramas.
File dimensions: 7600 x 3800 Pixels
File type: JPEG
Colorspace: sRGB
File size: 3288 KB (Saved as maximum quality in Photoshop)
If you intend to present it on a website, I suggest you reduce the size and the filesize especially, because older computers simply can’t keep up with the amount of graphics output larger files require.
The above link will start a download of a full-sized/full quality equirectangular JPEG (As the top display image but much larger and higher quality).
When I first moved to Florida, I had in my mind to settle down in Miami Dade, probably near the beach. I had never been to South Beach before, and as I drove south on Collins Avenue for the first time, I was overcome with wonder. The first thought out of my mind was “Oh… I’ve GOT to live here”. I was struck by the idea that this is the place I wanted to begin my foray into the digital world. It was a highly synergistic decision.
Spherical panos present a very different view of the world as opposed to a still rectangle. That doesn’t make it a better way to present a scene, it’s just a different way of doing so. I still love the idea of the attempt at capturing a scene with a single actuation of a shutter more than anything.
This is the first of many I will post. Some may feel many of my works are pedestrian; I freely admit the bulk of my work is quite pedestrian, but it’s me and I love it. That a handful may feel the same is more than enough for me.
